I didn’t get your confirmation email, so how am I going to upload a video?

If you don't receive our confirmation email, check in your email spam folder.  It should be there.

This email will be separate from the "Welcome" email you received when you first joined
the Public Works Comics.

If you still haven't received it after several hours, you can try again with a different email address by
returning to the Upload page.

My upload has been running for a long time and it still isn’t done.  What should I do?

If your upload is taking more than 1 hour, and you have a high speed internet connection, then
cancel the upload. 

Then, checking the length and settings for your video. Make sure they fit our standards.  It needs to
be 5 minutes or shorter & 50 MB or smaller, etc.  Then start again.

What does "Invalid file format error" mean?

It means that the file type of your video isn't supported by our website.

We do not accept videos in Flash (.flv) or RealAudio (.rm) format.

You may need to try using software other than the software that came with your camera.  For 
example, you may need to use Windows MovieMaker (included with every Windows installation), or
Apple iMovie. Using these programs, you can easily edit your videos, add soundtracks, and change
the file type, etc. Saving your video file as .avi, .mpg or .mov should enable you to upload your video
successfully.

The sound is out of sync on my video. How do I fix it?

Out-of-sync sound is usually the result of using an audio codec that our system doe not support.

Why not try re-encoding it with a different audio compression.  MP3 audio should give you the best
results.
